Honey Orange Beets

  Canned beets 16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Liquid reserved 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Orange juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Honey 2 Tablespoon
  Grated orange peel 1 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Grated nutmeg 1 1⁄4 Pinch
  Canned mandarin oranges 11 Ounce, drained (1 Can)

1. Place cornstarch in a 1 1/2 -quart glass casserole. Stir in beet liquid and orange juice. Add all remaining ingredients, except beets, and stir to blend. Microwave, uncovered, at Time Cook (power level 10) for 3 to 4 minutes, or until hot and thickened, stirring twice.
2. Add beets to sauce mixture. Microwave, uncovered, at Time Cook (power level 10) for 2 to 3 minutes, or until beets are warmed through, stirring once. Gently stir in the oranges.
Let stand 3 minutes before serving.
