|All purpose flour||3 Teaspoon|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Bay leaf||1 Small|
|Small beets||2 Cup (32 tbs), cooked and diced|
|Aspartame sweetener||1 Tablespoon|
Melt butter in a heavy or nonstick fry pan.
Add flour and stir over low heat for 1 minute.
Mix water with lemon juice; slowly add to pan, stirring constantly, to blend into a smooth mixture.
Add bay leaf.
Cook until thickened.
Add beets and cook until hot.
Remove from heat and discard bay leaf.
Add aspartame sweetener and salt.
