Beer And Bratwurst

Ingredients
  Bratwurst/Other smoked sausage 1 Pound (6 To 8 Sausages)
  Beer 24 Ounce (1 To 2 Cans, 12 Ounce Each)
  Onions 2 Medium, sliced
  Celery seed 1 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
Directions

In covered saucepan, gently simmer bratwurst, beer, onion, celery seed and bay leaf 5 minutes.
Remove from heat; let stand until ready to grill.
Drain off liquid.
Grill or broil bratwurst 3 to 4 inches from heat, about 3 minutes on each side.
Fry onions in butter until tender; serve with bratwurst
