Fiery Beer Hush Puppies
|Yellow cornmeal||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Regular)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Beer||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Finely chopped jalapeno||2 Tablespoon|
|Vegetable oil||2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)|
Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a medium mixing bowl, stir well.
Add eggs, beer, onion, and jalapeno pepper, stir well.
Carefully drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls into 1-inch-deep hot oil (365Â°), cook only a few at a time, turning once.
Fry 1 to 2 minutes or until hush puppies are golden brown.
