Peanuts And Beer Pie

Ingredients
  9 inch pastry shell 1
  Beer 12 Ounce (1 Can Or 1 Bottle)
  Unflavored gelatin 1 Ounce (1 Envelope)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 3 , separated
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Salted peanuts 6 Ounce, chopped (Or 1 1/4 Cups)
  Granulated sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven at 450°F

MAKING
2) Roll out the pastry to cover pie plate.
3) Cut the pastry enough to fold under and make high fluted sides.
4) Prick the bottom and sides with a fork.
5) Place in preheated oven till light golden brown.
6) Let stand for sometime to cool.
7) On top of a double boiler pour beer. Sprinkle gelatin on top.
8) Put brown sugar and slightly beaten egg yolks.
9) Cook the mixture over boiling water and stir for 8 to 10 minutes till thick and gelatin is mixed.
10) Add vanilla extract.
11) Chill the mixture till slightly thickened.
12) Add the peanuts.
13) Beat egg whites and add granulated sugar. Beat till stiff peaks form.
14) Gently add peanut-gelatin mixture.
19) Place into the baked shell.
20) Chill till serving.

SERVING
21) Serve cold.
