Cheddar Beer Fondue
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), peeled and halved|
|Grated sharp cheddar cheese/1/2 pound american cheese, finely diced||2 Cup (32 tbs), finely grated|
|Beer||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Day old french bread loaf/Italian bread loaf||1 Small, cut into 1 inch cubes, each with crust on 1 side|
1) On the inner surface of the double boiler, apply garlic and melt the butter over a gently simmering water.
2) Toss the cheese and flour together. Then stir rapidly into the butter alongwith the beer and aquavit, if desired until smooth.
3) Spoon the mixture into a chafing dish over the simmering water.
4) Serve the cheese beer fondue immediately with the bread crusts and fondue forks.
