Terrific Beer Stew
|Boneless beef||1 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1 inch cubes|
|Beef broth||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Increase To 1 Can, 10 1/2 Ounce, For Auto Sensor)|
|Beer||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Increase To 1 Cup For Auto Sensor)|
|Brown sugar||1 Tablespoon|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Caraway seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sliced onions||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Frozen green peas||10 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Increase To 3/4 Cup For Auto Sensor)|
TO HEAT BY AUTO SENSOR: In 4-quart casserole (do NOT use cooking bag), combine beef, 1 can beef broth, 1 cup beer, sugar, salt, pepper, caraway seeds, onions, peas and 1/2 cup water.
Cover with glass lid.
Heat on COOK A2.
After time appears in display window, stir twice.
Time: about 1 1/4 hours.
TO HEAT BY TIME: In cooking bag, combine beef, 1 cup beef broth, 1/2 cup beer, sugar, salt, pepper, caraway seeds, onions and peas; turn bag several times to mix.
Pull bag up around beef and close (3-inch from top) with twist-tie, wrapping ends around closure; make six half-inch slits in top of bag.
Place in 2-quart casserole.
Heat at high5 to 7 minutes and at LOW 50 to 55 minutes.
