Beans And Sausages In Beer
|Lean pork||1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1/2 inch cubes|
|Sliced onions||1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced|
|Kielbasa sausage||1 Pound, skinned and cut in 1/2 inch rings|
|Freshly ground pepper||To Taste|
|Sprouted pinto beans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), steamed for 20 minutes|
|Grated mild cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Heat butter and oil in large skillet or Dutch oven.
Brown pork quickly.
Add onions and saute over medium heat until soft.
Add sausage and beer.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 325°.
In 2-qt.casserole, layer bean sprouts with cooked sausage, onions and pork.
Reduce liquid in Dutch oven slightly by boiling hard.
Pour over contents of casserole.
Sprinkle grated cheese over top.
Bake for 30 minutes, uncovered.
