Spiced Beer Cake
|Light molasses||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cooking oil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground cloves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Beer||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Dark Or Light)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Buttered beer sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
In mixing bowl combine molasses and oil.
Beat in eggs.
Stir together flour, soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
Beat into molasses mixture alternately with beer.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Pour into greased and floured baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Top with Buttered Beer Sauce and serve warm.
