Salt Beef

Beef salt, also known as corned beef, refers to brined beef. This St. Patrick’s Day traditional dish was brought to American by European settlers. Preparation of Salt Beef Salt beef is prepared by first brining beef in refrigerator with boiled water with salt and saltpeter solution for about three weeks with garlic and bay leaf seasonings, washing it in clean tap water to remove the brine, and then boiling it in water till it attains a tender consistency. Serving Salt Beef Salt beef is mostly served with cabbage. It can be eaten as it is or as a sandwich.
