Ground Beef Chili

Ground beef chili is popular in American and Mexican cuisines. This meat dish can be served with some cheese topping or with hamburger buns, where the latter is termed as sloppy joes in American cooking. Ground beef is mixed with reserved beef broth and spicy salsa, in addition to green peppers, onions and other seasonings. The chili must be cooked till the desired consistency is attained and topped with extra onions and grated cheese. Ground beef chili once poured over the sliced hamburger buns, becomes sloppy joes. Because of the curry like texture it is termed as ‘sloppy’ and not hamburger. There are a few variations in this chili recipe, for example ground chicken chili, ground pork chili among others.
