Chuck pot roast is a main meal dish made using the chuck part of beef and cooking it by pot roasting. Chuck meat is less expensive and has low fat, thus the quantity of liquid used in the recipe is much high. The meat is marinated and then browned in the pot by searing all sides. Rest of the ingredients like vegetables, herbs, spices, stock, etc are added to the pot, which is then covered and left to cook on a low flame for about 6 to 8 hours. Chuck pot roast is commonly prepared in winters and served along with vegetables as a complete meal.
