Beef Brisket

Beef brisket is the breast cut of beef sliced off from the region below the first five ribs and behind the fore shank. Beef brisket is used in a wide variety of recipes which are taken as a main course items. It is one of the toughest types of beef. But it is made tender for consumption by cooking over a low flame for a long time. Beef brisket is known for its irresistible flavor. It is a long piece of boneless meat but it is cut into halves for selling. Beef briskets are available in the markets as flat cut or point cut varieties. The flat cut is thinner but the deckle or extra fat in the point cut variety gives it a better flavor.
