Beef With Onions is one of the most delicious side dish I ever come across. I served it recently for a party and the guests are still calling up and asking for the recipe! Try this Beef With Onions, your loved ones will love it.
  Lean beef 2 Pound, cut in 1 1/2 in. pieces
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
  Small white onions 4 Pound
  Ripe firm tomatoes 4 , quartered
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Wine vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Bay leaves 2

Brown meat on all sides in hot butter and oil in a large heavy saucepot.
Add remaining ingredients and then enough water to half cover ingredients in the pot.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Bring to boiling, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, or until meat is tender and liquid is reduced to a flavorful gravy.
