Boiled Corned Beef

Place corned beef in Dutch oven or heavy pan; cover with cold water.
Bring slowly to boil.
Simmer, covered, 3 1/2 to 5 hours or until tender.
Remove from broth; let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
Cabbage wedges and potatoes can be cooked in broth for old-fashioned corned beef and cabbage.
