Freezer Mix Barley Soup

Ingredients
  Frozen beef mushroom freezer mix 4 Ounce (1 Container)
  Water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Uncooked barley 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sliced celery 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sliced carrot 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Parsley sprigs 1
  Bay leaf 1
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Dip container of frozen mix into hot water just to loosen.
In dutch oven, heat frozen mix and remaining ingredients to boiling.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring frequently, until mix is thawed and barley and vegetables are tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
Remove bay leaf.
