Classic Corned Beef Dinner

This yummy Corned Beef Dinner recipe is simply brilliant. The Corned Beef Dinner is a favorite at home and I prepare them almost every weekend mainly because it is a filling dish too. Try the Corned Beef Dinner and you will understand why it is so popular at my place.
Ingredients
  Corned beef brisket 4 Pound
  Canned beer 12 Ounce
  Onion 1 Small
  Bay leaf 1
  Whole cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Peppercorns 4
  Celery stalks 2 (With Leaves)
  Potatoes 6 , pared
  Carrots 6 Large, pared
  Green cabbage 1 Medium, quartered
Directions

Place brisket in deep kettle; add enough cold water to just cover.
Add beer, onion, bay leaf, cloves, peppercorns and celery; cover.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 hours or until almost tender.
Remove and discard onion and celery; skim excess fat from liquid.
Add potatoes and carrots; simmer for 15, minutes.
Add cabbage; simmer an additional 30 minutes or until all vegetables are tender.
