Trim fat from meat; discard.
Cut steak across the grain into 1/8 inch strips, about 5 inches long.
Layer 1/3 each of the meat, salt, pepper and liquid smoke in loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches; repeat 2 times.
Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
Arrange about 1/3 of the meat strips on micro wave roasting rack in oblong baking dish, 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inches.
Cover loosely and microwave 7 minutes; turn strips.
Cover and microwave until crisp, 2 to 3 minutes.
Repeat with remaining meat.
