Ground Beef And Mushroom Pizza On Biscuit Crust

|Mozzarella cheese||1⁄2 Pound, thinly sliced (250 G)|
|Biscuit base||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs) (500 Milliliter)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon (20 Milliliter)|
|Granulated sugar||1 Tablespoon (15 Milliliter)|
|Salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon (2 Milliliter)|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (125 Milliliter)|
|Milk||150 Milliliter (2/3 Cup)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
In large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat; cook beef, mushrooms, garlic, oregano, hot pepper flakes, and salt and pepper to taste, breaking up meat with wooden spoon, for about 5 minutes or until meat is browned.
Stir in tomato sauce; cook for about 3 minutes or until thickened.
In large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
With two knives or pastry blender, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir together milk and egg; add all at once to flour mixture.
Stir gently just until combined.
Turn out onto well-floured surface; with floured hands, knead gently 20 times.
Press evenly into greased 12-inch (30 cm) round pizza pan.
Sprinkle evenly with meat mixture; top with mozzarella.
Bake in 450Â°F (230Â°C) oven for about 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
