Maro's Marinated Beef Fillet
|Beef fillet||4 Pound|
|Red wine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Seasoning||1 Teaspoon (Lawry's)|
|Black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Canned mushrooms||6 Ounce, sliced and drained|
|Wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cut the beef into half-inch thick slices.
In a separate bowl combine the remaining ingredients, stirring well.
Mix in the meat and marinate in the refrigerator, covered, for about five to six hours or overnight.
Barbecue the fillets over a barbecue grill on both sides until done to your liking.
Return the meat to a baking pan.
Prepare the sauce by heating the butter in a skillet.
Blend in the flour and stir for about five minutes.
Add the Bovril, mushrooms, pepper to taste and wine.
Bring to a boil.
Pour over the meat.
Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for about twenty minutes.
