Barbecued Lean Beef
|Lean ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Green pepper||1 , diced|
|Catsup||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (plus 12 cup water)|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
Saute ground beef in shortening in medium skillet about 10 minutes or until brown.
Remove from skillet.
Put onion and green pepper in same shortening, cooking until onion is yellow and soft.
Replace ground beef.
Mix together rest of ingredients, add to skillet.
Stir to mix, simmer about 10 minutes.
Serve over hamburger rolls.
