Ground Beef Patties With Lemon Glaze
|Lean ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Lemon peel||1 Teaspoon|
|Salad oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||3 Tablespoon|
|Beef bouillon cubes||2|
In a bowl combine the ground beef, onion, salt, lemon peel, and egg.
Mix lightly and shape into 6 thick patties.
In a frying pan heat the oil over medium-high heat; add the meat patties and brown well on both sides.
Remove patties and set aside; discard any fat in pan.
To the pan add the vinegar, ginger, brown sugar, bay leaf, lemon slices, and bouillon cubes.
Bring to a boil, return patties to pan, reduce heat, cover, and simmer until meat is done to your liking (about 8 minutes for medium-well), turning once or twice.
Serve patties with lemon glaze spooned evenly over top.
