A delicious, comfort food that is super easy to throw together! The steaks turn out very tender.
All purpose flour
2 Cup (32 tbs)
Beef cube steaks
1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
3 Cup (48 tbs), divided
Brown gravy mix
Onion gravy mix
Mushroom gravy mix
Salt & pepper
1)In a large, resealable plastic bag, add enough flour to coat steaks. One at time, place steaks in bag and shake until completely covered.
2)In a large skillet, add oil and cook steaks until lightly browned on each side. Once browned, place steaks into crock pot.
3)Slice and separate onion into rings and place into crock pot.
4)Pour in 2 cups of water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until meat is tender.
5)Once meat is tender, take a bowl and whisk together the three packets of gravy mix and 1 cup of water.
6)Pour mixture into crock pot, cover and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
7)Great served with mashed potatoes or noodles.
