Molded Corned Beef And Cabbage Layer
|Unflavored gelatin||1 Tablespoon|
|Salt||1 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Cold water||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped green pepper||2 Tablespoon|
|Shredded cabbage||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Mix together gelatin, sugar and salt in a saucepan.
Add 1/2 cup of the water.
Place over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin is dissolved.
Remove from heat; stir in remain- ing 3/4 cup water, lemon juice and vinegar.
Chill until mix- ture is the consistency of unbeaten egg white.
Mix in green pepper and cabbage.
Turn into an 8-inch square pan; chill until almost firm.
