Beef With Broccoli

Ingredients
  Flank steak 1 Pound
  Soy sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Dry sherry 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Monosodium glutamate 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Broccoli 1⁄2 Bunch (50 gm)
  Vegetable oil 5 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Onion slice 1 , sliced
Directions

Marinate steak in mixture of next 5 ingredients and set aside.
Cut broccoli in florets about 2 inches long, peel stalk and slice 2 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
Put 2 tablespoons oil in hot skillet over high heat.
Add salt and broccoli and stir-fry, turning constantly, until broccoli is dark green, not over 2 minutes.
Remove from skillet.
Put remaining 3 tablespoons oil in skillet and add gingerroot and beef mixture.
Stir-fry, turning constantly, not more than 2 minutes.
Add broccoli and mix well.
Serve at once.
Makes 2 or 3 servings.
