Simmered Barbecued Ribs

Ingredients
  Pork loin back ribs/Beef short ribs 3 1⁄2 Pound (2 1/2 Inches Long And 1/2 To 1 Inch Thick)
  Onion 1 Large, sliced, separated into rings
  Bay leaf 1 Large
  Beer 12 Ounce (At Room Temparature)
  Worcestershire sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Bottled barbecue sauce 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Cut pork ribs into 2-rib portions.
2 Cut thick beef short ribs in half lengthwise.
3 Pierce ribs all over with a large fork.

MAKING
4 In a deep 4-quart casserole with lid, place the ribs bone-side up.
5 Add onion and bay leaf.
6 Pour in beer and Worcestershire sauce.
7 Cover and microwave at 100% (HIGH) for 10 minutes.
8 Microwave at 30% (MEDIUM LOW) for 30 minutes.
9 Rearrange ribs, bringing ribs in center of the casserole to outside edge.
10 Be sure ribs are bone-side up and meaty side is under liquid. Cover.
11 Microwave at 30% (MEDIUM LOW) for 60 to 75 minutes.
12 Let ribs stand, covered,for 20 minutes.
13 Meat is done when it can be easily pierced with a fork.
14 Pour off pan juices from casserole. Turn ribs meaty-side up.
15 Pour barbecue sauce over ribs, coating well. Cover.
16 Microwave at 30% (MEDIUM LOW)for 10 minutes or until heated through.

SERVING
17 Serve ribs with sauce.
