Yankee Pot Roast

Ingredients
  Beef arm chuck roast 4 Pound
  Brown gravy mix 8 Ounce (1 Package)
  Onions 4 Small, cut in half
  Hot water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Carrots 4 , pared, halved and cut in thirds
  Potatoes 4 , pared and cut in quarters
Directions

MAKING
1 Into a 4-quart glass casserole,put meat.
2 Sprinkle gravy mix over meat.
3 Add onion and enough hot water to cover the meat.
4 Cover the casserole with an all-glass lid.
5 Cook in a microwave oven for 30 minutes at SIMMER.
6 Turn meat over. Add carrots and potatoes to the liquid.
7 Cook covered in a microwave oven for 1 hour at SIMMER, or until meat is tender.
8 Remove from the oven and allow to stand covered for 10 to 15 minutes.
9 If desired, thicken the liquid as for Basic Gravy.

SERVING
10 Serve hot.
