Glazed Corned Beef
|Corned beef||7 Pound|
|Onion||1 , sliced|
|Celery stalk||1 , chopped|
|Brown sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Bottled horseradish||1 Teaspoon|
|Catsup||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
1. Preheat the oven
2. Place beef in Dutch oven, cover with water and then add peppercorns, onion, cloves and celery. Simmer for 4 hours and 30 minutes to 5 hours or until almost tender.
3. Drain the meat from water; place in baking pan. Combine brown sugar, mustard, horseradish, catsup, vinegar and butter in saucepan.
4. Stir over medium heat until blended and bubbly. Spoon part of sauce over beef. Bake in 350-degree oven for 30 minutes or until tender, basting frequently with remaining sauce.
5. Serve hot
