|Onion||1 Medium, sliced|
1. Place beef in large saucepan; add water to cover.
2. Stir in cloves, onion, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Simmer, covered, for 3 hours or until beef is tender.
3. Remove beef from broth; reserve broth. Strain reserved broth; add sage. Cook, reducing liquid to 1 cup; pour over beef.
4. Remove meat from bones; chop fine. Pack into 5 x 9-inch loaf pan. Chill until firm.
5. Slice thinly for serving
