Pot Roast Of Beef

Ingredients
  Beef chuck/Round of beef 3 Pound
  Fat 1 Tablespoon
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Red wine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Peppercorns 4
  Potatoes 6 Medium
  Carrots 6 Medium
  Onions 8 Small
  Whole mushrooms 1⁄2 Pound, cleaned
Directions

MAKING
1)Heat a Dutch oven and melt fat in it.
2)Brown the beef throughout.
3)Pour in water and wine.
4)Add in salt and peppercorns.
5)Cover the Dutch oven tightly and keep it over the low glowing coals.
6)Let it simmer for 2 hours.
7)Add in potatoes, carrots, onions and whole mushrooms and cook for a further 45 minutes or let simmer till the vegetables are tender

SERVING
8)Serve hot.
