Creamed Dried Beef On Cabbage

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Finely shredded cabbage 6 Cup (96 tbs) (packed for measuring)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Canned sliced mushrooms 3 Ounce, drained (1 can)
  Sliced dried beef 2 1⁄2 Ounce, cut into 1/2 inch strips (1 jar)
  Canned peas 8 1⁄2 Ounce, drained (1 can)
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

About 30 minutes before serving: In large skillet, in 2 tablespoons butter, saute cabbage and salt until tender-crisp—3 to 5 minutes.
In medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter.
Stir in flour until smooth; slowly add milk, stirring constantly.
Add mushrooms, dried beef, peas and pepper, stirring often until hot.
Arrange cabbage in thin layer on heated platter; pour beef mixture on top.
