Microwave Corned Beef Dinner
|Potatoes||36 Ounce (6 Medium Ones 6 Ounce Each)|
|Corned beef brisket||3 1⁄2 Pound|
|Onions||2 , quartered|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cabbage head||1 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 6 wedges (1 Small Head)|
Following method for baking potatoes heat potatoes 11 to 12 minutes.
Cool, then peel.
Meanwhile, prepare cooking bag according to package directions; place corned beef, onion and water in bag.
Set bag in medium glass bowl; pull bag up around beef.
Close bag with twist-tie, wrap ends around closure and make 6 (1/2 -in.) slits in top of bag.
Heat at high6 to 7 minutes and at LOW 90 minutes, or until beef is tender.
Remove to serving platter; let stand, covered, 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in oblong baking dish, arrange cabbage (thick sides toward edge of dish) and potatoes; add 1/2 cup cooking liquid.
Heat, covered with glass lid, at high9 to 11 minutes, or until cabbage and potatoes are tender.
TO COMPLETE: Slice corned beef and serve with vegetables.
