Beef Fillet With Sweet And Sour Sauce

Ingredients
  Beef fillet 1 Pound, cut into 1/2 inch cubes (450 Gram)
  Salt reduced soy sauce 15 Medium
  Five spice powder 1 Milliliter (1/4 Teaspoon)
For sweet and sour sauce
  Unsweetened pineapple juice 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Sugar 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  White vinegar 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  Cornstarch 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  Dry sherry 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  Beef consomme 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Green pepper 1⁄2 , cut into 1/2 inch dice
  Carrot 1⁄4 , parboiled, cut into 1/2 inch dice
  Unsweetened pineapple pieces 60 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)
  Diced chinese mixed pickles 1⁄4 Pound (110 Gram)
Directions

1 Combine diced beef with soy sauce and five-spice powder and marinate 15 minutes. Heat a non-stick pan, add one-quarter of the beef and stir-fry 3—4 minutes. Remove from pan. Repeat with remaining beef. Set aside and keep warm.
2 Bring pineapple juice, sugar and vinegar to a boil. Blend cornstarch, sherry and stock to a paste. Stir into pineapple juice to thicken. Add vegetables, pineapple and pickles, simmer 3 minutes. Add diced beef to heat through. Serve at once.
