Beef, Tomato, And Noodle Supper
|Ground beef||6 Ounce|
|Yellow onion||1 Medium, peeled and chopped|
|Fresh tomatoes/1 can, 8 ounces tomatoes, chopped with their juice||2 Small, peeled and chopped|
|Celery stalk||1 , finely chopped|
|Black pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Dried basil||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crumbled|
|Dried oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crumbled|
|Uncooked egg noodles/Elbow macaroni / ziti||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Heat the butter in a heavy 8-inch skillet over moderate heat until bubbly.
Add the beef and onion, and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, or until the beef has browned and the onion is soft.
Add the tomatoes, celery, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, and noodles.
Cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
