Sirloin Steak With Blue Ribbon Sauce
|Beef sirloin steak||1 , cut 1 inch thick|
|Thinly sliced onion||1 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced|
|Lemon||1 , thinly sliced|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (1/2 stick)|
|Prepared mustard||2 Tablespoon|
|Chili sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Chili powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Cocktail vegetable juice||6 Ounce (1 can)|
1. Trim fat from steak. Cut steak into serving pieces and put into an 8-inch square glass baking dish. Arrange onion and lemon slices over meat.
2. Cream butter and mustard; blend in chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and vegetable juice. Pour mixture over onion and lemon. Cover with plastic wrap. Cook in microwave oven 15 minutes at HIGH, or until meat is done as desired; rearrange meat halfway through cooking period.
3. Remove from oven. Allow to stand covered 5 minutes before serving.
4. Sprinkle meat with salt, if desired.
