Jalisco Style Roast
|Lean boneless round roast||1|
|Garlic powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Crushed red pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Purple onion||1 Medium, sliced|
|Grated orange rind||1 Tablespoon|
|Unsweetened orange juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Steak sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Ground cloves||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
Trim fat from roast.
Coat a Dutch oven with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot.
Add roast; cook until browned on all sides.
Sprinkle with garlic powder and red pepper.
Combine onion and remaining ingredients,-pour over rost.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until roast is render.
