Beef Simmered In Wine
|Ground black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Olive oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Spanish onion||1 Large, peeled, sliced into rings|
|Dry red wine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Rub filets mignons with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in heavy frying pan.
Add steaks; brown on both sides.
Reduce heat to simmer.
Add onions and wine.
place fillet on plate and pour gravy over it.
