"Beef Steaks" South American Style

  Lean ground beef 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Egg 1
  Finely chopped dry roasted peanuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  Canned tomatoes 1 Pound (1 Can)
  Orange juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cocoa 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon

1. Combine ground beef, egg, peanuts, onion, milk, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a large mixing bowl; toss lightly to mix. Shape into 8 patties.
2. Heat oil in a large frying pan. Brown patties on both sides; remove from pan. Add tomatoes, orange juice, cocoa and remaining salt and pepper. Mix well, breaking up tomatoes with a spoon. Return patties to frying pan.
3. Heat sauce to boiling; lower heat. Simmer 20 minutes. Remove "steaks" to serving platter; keep warm. Simmer sauce to thicken slightly.
