Classic Beef Broth
|Meaty beef bones||3 Pound|
|Carrots||3 Large, pared and chopped|
|Onions||2 Large, halved|
|Leek||1 , trimmed|
|Celery stalks with leaves||2 , chopped|
|Water||10 Cup (160 tbs)|
|Parsley||1 Cup (16 tbs) (1 Handful)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), peeled|
1 Put the meat bones, carrots, onions, leek and celery into a roasting pan.
2 Roast in hot oven (450°) 40 minutes, or until bones are well browned.
3 Place browned bones and vegetables in a 5-quart electric slow cooker; add water, parsley, garlic, salt along with all other ingredients.
Cook until vegetables are tender, Strain through a fine sieve.
