Creamed Dried Beef
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Light cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dried beef||3 Ounce, cut into thin strips (1 Package)|
|Hot mashed potatoes/Baked potatoes||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In a heavy saucepan melt butter; stir in flour.
Cook and stir over medium heat till mixture is golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Add milk and light cream all at once.
Cook and stir till mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Add dried beef; simmer till heated through, 3 to 5 minutes.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
