Orange Ginger Beef
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Shao hsing wine/Dry sherry||1 Tablespoon|
|Vegetable oil||2 Teaspoon|
|Beef steak||3⁄4 Pound, thinly sliced across the grain (Sirloin / Flank)|
|Thawed undiluted frozen orange juice concentrate||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Ginger slices||5 (Thin Slices)|
|Cornstarch||1 Teaspoon, mixed with 2 teaspoons water|
|Orange slices||4 (For Garnish)|
Preparation Combine marinade ingredients in a medium bowl.
Add beef and stir to coat.
Set aside for 30 minutes.
Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Cooking Place a wok or wide frying pan over high heat until hot.
Add oil, swirling to coat sides.
Add ginger slices and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 5 seconds.
Add beef and stir-fry for 2 minutes or until barely pink.
Add sauce and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
Add cornstarch solution and cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens.
Garnish with orange slices.
