Curried Beef Bake's picture
  All purpose flour 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Beef stew meat 1 Pound, cut in 1/2 inch cubes
  Cooking oil 2 Tablespoon
  Instant minced onion 1 Tablespoon
  Noodles with sour cream mix 5 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Package)
  Canned tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 Can)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Curry powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Finely crushed crackers 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (8 Rich Round Crackers)

In paper or plastic bag combine flour, salt, and pepper.
Add beef cubes, a few at a time; shake to coat.
In a large skillet brown meat in hot oil.
Remove from heat.
Drain off excess fat.
To skillet add instant minced onion and 2 1/4 cups water; cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook noodles from the mix in large amount boiling salted water for 5 minutes; drain.
In same saucepan blend sauce mix, tomato sauce, butter, and curry.
Stir in meat mixture; fold in cooked noodles.
Turn mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake, covered, at 350° for 30 minutes.
Uncover and sprinkle with cracker crumbs; bake till crumbs are lightly browned, about 10 minutes longer.
