Barbecue Beef Skewers
|Flank steak||2 Pound|
|Finely chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Minced garlic||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Vegetable oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||3 Tablespoon|
|Peanut butter||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Grated lemon peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Hot pepper sauce||1 Dash|
Cut steak across grain in 1/4 inch thick slices.
Saute onion and garlic in oil.
Stir in remaining ingredients and cook until slightly thickened.
Thread meat on skewers; brush with sauce.
Place skewers on grill rack.
Cook 8 to 10 minutes, basting with sauce.
