Dried Beef Rarebit
|Canned dried beef||4 Ounce, shredded (1 Can)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Gold Medal)|
|Dry mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Grated sharp cheddar cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
If dried beef is very salty, cover with water; bring to a boil.
Saute beef in butter until edges curl.
Blend in dry ingredients.
Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
Remove from heat; stir in milk.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; boil 1 min.
Remove from heat; blend in cheese.
