Beef La Jolla
|Beef chuck||1 1⁄2 Pound, cut in 2-inch cubes|
|Burgundy wine/Chianti||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Condensed consomme||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 1/2 Can)|
|Freshly ground pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Onion||1 Large, sliced|
|Fine dry bread crumbs||6 Tablespoon|
|All purpose flour||6 Tablespoon|
Combine beef with wine, consomme, salt, pepper, and onion in 2-quart casserole.
Mix crumbs and flour and stir into beef mixture.
Cover and bake in a 300° F.oven for about 3 hours or until beef is tender.
