New England Boiled Dinner
|Corned beef||4 Pound (1 In Number)|
|Potatoes||6 Small, quartered|
|Carrots||6 , quartered|
|Onions||2 , quartered|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cabbage head||1 Small, cut into wedges|
Stick cloves into corned beef.
Place vegetables (except cabbage) in bottom of the crock cooker.
Put bay leaf in, and sprinkle with pepper.
Place corned beef on top of the vegetables, and add enough water to barely cover meat.
Cover and cook for 10 to 12 hours at Low.
After about 10 hours, lay cabbage on top of corned beef.
Cover and cook 1 hour longer, or until beef is tender and cabbage is done.
Remove cloves from corned beef and slice thinly.
