Traditional Corned Beef And Cabbage
|Lean corned beef||2 Pound|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Cabbage||1⁄2 , cored and quartered|
1) Remove brine from corned beef and place in a pot. Cover with water and boil over a low flame.
2) When water has boiled for 10 minutes, skim off the scum, cover the pot, and simmer for 3 hours or until meat is tender.
3) Remove 2 cups of the cooking liquid and place in a pot with the cabbage. Cook for 15 minutes and serve with the corned beef.
