Corned Beef And Cabbage Dinner

|Corned beef||4 Pound|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Potatoes||3 , pared and quartered|
|Carrots||3 Medium, pared and sliced 1/2 inch thick|
|Cabbage head||1 Medium, cut into 8 wedges|
1. Heat hot water in a 4-quart microwave-oven-safe casserole in microwave oven to boiling (7 to 9 minutes at High). Place corned beef in water. Add bay leaf, peppercorns and garlic. Cover with a microwave-oven-safe lid.
2. Cook in microwave oven 90 minutes at Medium; rotate casserole one-quarter turn twice during cooking period.
3. Add potato and carrot; arrange cabbage wedges on top. Cook covered in microwave oven 25 to 30 minutes at Medium, or until vegetables and meat are tender; rotate casserole one-quarter turn twice during cooking period. Let stand covered 10 minutes.
