Microwaved Yankee Pot Roast

Ingredients
  Beef arm chuck roast 4 Pound (1 Piece)
  Brown gravy mix 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Package)
  Onions 4 Small, peeled and cut in half
  Hot water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Carrots 4 , pared, halved and cut in thirds
  Potatoes 4 , pared and cut in quarters
Directions

1. Put meat into a 4-quart microwave-oven-safe casserole. Sprinkle gravy mix over meat. Add onion and enough hot water to cover meat. Cover casserole with a microwave-oven-safe lid.
2. Cook in microwave oven 30 minutes at Medium.
3. Turn meat over. Add carrots and potatoes to liquid. Cook covered in microwave oven 1 hour at Medium, or until meat is tender.
4. Remove from oven and let stand covered 10 to 15 minutes.
