Beef And Brew
|Light beer||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Dried thyme||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Ground pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Beef round steak||1 Pound, trimmed of separable fat and cut into 1 inch pieces|
|Onions||2 Medium, cut into wedges|
|Peppers||2 Medium, cut into thin strips (Use Green Or Sweet Red Variety)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Hot cooked egg noodles||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
In large saucepan stir together beer, the % cup water, bay leaf, 1/2 teaspoon salt, thyme, and ground pepper.
Stir in meat.
Bring to boiling.
Cover and simmer for 55 minutes.
Add onions and green or red peppers and simmer about 20 minutes or till beef is tender.
Remove bay leaf.
Stir together the 1/4 cup water and flour.
Stir flour mixture into meat mixture.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
